PRN Administrative Assistant - Senior Center

As needed / Non-exempt / Pay based on experience / Shippensburg area

Branch Creek Place is a Senior Center located in Shippensburg, PA, that provides a place for participants to gather for nutritious meals, lively fellowship, service projects, health and wellness initiatives, trips, and more! The center promotes a wide range of activities and is a safe, welcoming place that prevents isolation. Menno Haven is the official sponsor of Branch Creek Place. This position will assist with answering phone calls and promoting a welcoming environment.

Qualifications:

• Entry-level applicants are welcome to apply
• High School diploma or GED, required
• Previous experience working with the senior population, preferred
• Ability to operate typical office equipment such as computer and fax/copier machine required.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word required.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite preferred.
• Ability to type 50+ words per minute required.
• General knowledge of bookkeeping procedures required.
• Must present and relate favorably to the public and senior living population.
