Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Telemetry unit in Phoenix, Arizona. The ideal candidate will have Level 1 Trauma experience and be comfortable working night shifts. This role requires the ability to interpret EKGs, handle cardiac stepdown and other complex care areas, and must pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to acceptance.

Responsibilities:

• Interpret and monitor EKGs using Philips monitors.
• Handle cardiac stepdown, lung transplant, cardiac conditions like CP and MI, with acute care patients.
• Participate in SIMs Lab for necessary skills assessments including sterile field maintenance, Foley catheter insertion, and central line dressing changes.
• Comply with unit and facility-specific protocols and policies, including SIMs Lab expectations and sterile field maintenance.

Requirements:

• Minimum Level 1 Trauma experience required.
• Certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA).
• Successful completion of dysrhythmia exam prior to acceptance (two attempts allowed).
• Adherence to hospital policy on natural hair color and no facial piercings.
• Must pass a pass/fail exam on the first day of orientation.
• Must be able to float to other telemetry units as needed.
