Machine Operator

The Machine Operator sets up and operates production equipment safely, efficiently, and ergonomically to support high-quality output in a sheet metal manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up production machinery according to specifications and safety guidelines.
• Operate sheet metal and related production equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
• Monitor machine performance during operation and make basic adjustments as needed to maintain productivity and quality.
• Follow ergonomic best practices while operating equipment to minimize strain and ensure safe handling of materials.
• Adhere to all workplace safety procedures and use required protective equipment.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area around the machines.
• Communicate any equipment issues or production concerns promptly to the appropriate team members.
• Support overall production goals by meeting established output and quality standards.

Essential Skills

• At least 1 year of experience as a machine operator or in machine operation within a production environment.
• Hands-on experience operating sheet metal production machinery.
• Ability to follow operating procedures and safety guidelines accurately.
• Basic mechanical aptitude to understand machine functions and simple adjustments.
• Attention to detail to monitor product quality and equipment performance.
• Ability to work effectively in a loud, non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience in a high-volume production or manufacturing setting.
• Familiarity with ergonomic work practices in an industrial environment.
• Reliability and strong attendance record.
• Willingness to follow established processes and contribute to continuous improvement.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Charles, MO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.20 - $22.20/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
