Medical Assistant - OBGYN

Job Overview The Medical Assistant II (MA II) works under the delegation of a licensed practitioner to assist in providing patient care to assigned patients. The MA II performs all aspects of the MA I role and is fully competent in the clinical needs/functions for the assigned clinic/location of work, and is expected to perform in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulations. Required Qualifications Graduate of an accredited school that includes hands‑on training in a clinical setting for medical assistants. Graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program. Has completed two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces. Minimum one year of work experience as a medical assistant that includes the following clinical skills: obtaining vital signs, administering injections, and medication administration. Obtaining Washington Medical Assistant Certification upon hire. Obtaining National Provider BLS – American Heart Association certification within 30 days of hire. Minimum 6 months of healthcare experience. Minimum 6 months of medical assistant experience. Preferred Qualifications Obtaining National Medical Assistant Certification upon hire.
