Registered Nurse - Acute Care

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

12-hour day shifts, including weekends as scheduled.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide care in an acute care setting with a focus on a variety of patient diagnoses including CHF, COPD, cellulitis, R/O, chole, appendicitis, pneumonia, urosepsis, and AKI. The RN will work closely with a charge nurse and nurse aides (PCTs) on the unit to ensure high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Manage patient care with a ratio of 1:6 to 1:7.
• Titrate heparin drips based on APTT results.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team and facilitate care transitions as needed.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and assist with daily living activities as required.
• Utilize EPIC for charting and documentation.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN license.
• BLS (AHA) certification.
• NIHSS certification.
