Charge Registered Nurse

Charge Registered Nurse (RN) Hourly The Charge Registered Nurse oversees the total health care delivery system in their assigned nursing unit, collecting and evaluating health status data, formulating nursing diagnoses, setting goals, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care. They provide direct supervision for patient teaching and ensure ancillary personnel perform services only for which they are qualified. The Charge RN is accountable for overall quality of patient care in their unit. Key Responsibilities Supervise the health care delivery system in the unit, ensuring compliance with policy and procedure and coordinating patient care with other departments. Monitor nursing services, maintain accurate records, identify potential problems, and propose corrective actions as needed. Assist with staff orientation, training, and evaluations, and coordinate staffing levels to meet contractual requirements. Ensure cleanliness, maintenance, and appearance of the unit, and maintain appropriate levels of medical equipment and supplies. Maintain a professional atmosphere and attend monthly staff meetings as directed by the Director of Nursing or Administrator. Qualifications & Requirements Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing. Prefer a minimum of one year of clinical experience. Current licensure as a Registered Nurse within the state of employment.
