Technical Writer - Editor
Duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Develops training programs increasing success rates for pre and post doctoral fellows and trainees.
- Write and edit a variety of complex scientific grant proposals, journals, manuscripts using a substantial knowledge of medical science, research, and related fields.
- Creating social media and website content; social media posts, videos, etc. explaining research programs, process and technologies.
- Writes, edits, and coordinates research proposals.
- Interviews professional and technical professionals.
- Prepares post-funding reports, analysis, and analytics.
- Understanding publishing, journal and media concepts, practices, standards for science publications
- Manages submissions to scientific publications by meeting with Investigators to understand the research advancements and goals of the publication.
- Interpret and explain a variety of technical subjects, and write or edit materials tailored to specific media and audiences using a strong knowledge of publishing concepts, practices, standards, and technologies for the media.
- Prepare ORD Annual Report, Report to the Community and presentations highlighting Center accomplishments and achievements.
- Coach and assist investigators during article writing, managing references, advising on content and submission requirements
This position is Not to Exceed 1 year, but can be extended up to 4 years. Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm Telework: This position is authorized for AD HOC telework at supervisor's discretion. Virtual: This is not a virtual position.
