Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience preferred License: State or Compact license required Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: Travel experience is preferred Previous charge experience is preferred Experience in cardiac telemetry is essential Description: The registered nurse will provide patient care in a telemetry unit. A patient ratio of 1:6 is expected. Floating to other units of equal acuity is required. The unit consists of 36 rooms and beds. Telemetry experience is essential, including remote monitoring. Candidates should be proficient in accessing and managing ports, BiPAP/CPAP management, and blood product administration. Experience with central line care and management is required. Skills in interpretation of dysrhythmias and arterial blood gases are necessary. The role involves managing cardiac drips without titration. Registered nurses will care for patients with various medical conditions, including post-cardiac surgery and renal failure. Competence in utilizing rapid response and code teams is essential. Wound care and wound vacuum management are part of the responsibilities. The ideal candidate will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physical therapy and pharmacy. Strong communication and organizational skills are necessary to provide quality patient care.
