General Information:Job title: Wound Care RN - Long-term CareLocation: Fair View Nursing & Rehabilitation Center - Mauston, WISchedule: Part-time 2, 24 hours per pay periodWeekend Requirement: No weekendsHoliday Requirement: No holidaysPosition Summary:The Long Term Care Wound Care Nurse position assists with the wound care program at Fair View. This is an important role that requires accuracy, attention to detail, and a passion for providing exceptional healthcare.Position Responsibilities:Timely communication to physicians, families, etc. of significant changes in resident condition in regards to woundsComplete all applicable resident wound assessmentsOwnership of wound care program including weekly wound rounding, tracking and trending wounds, wound education to staff, and other responsibilities as assignedAssist CNAs with answering call lightsReport any allegations of abuse, neglect or misappropriation to Director of Nursing and AdministratorMaintain accurate resident records with thorough and accurate chartingPerform other duties as requested.Position Requirements:Must hold and maintain Wisconsin Licensed Practical Nurse licenseRegistered Nursing license preferred.Current CPR/BLS certification required.1+ years of related work experience preferred.Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail required.Knowledge, Skills, & AbilitiesIntermediate proficiency with computers is requiredComprehensive nursing skills and knowledge of equipment such as retinal scanners, EKG, etc.Thorough understanding of triage.Understanding of lab procedures and equipment.Strong quantitative and analytical competency.Self-starter with excellent interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills.Ability to have continuous oral and written communication with co-workers, patients, and supervisors is essential.Why Mile Bluff Medical Center?Mile Bluff Medical Center is a place where people come first.
