Business Analyst / Project ManagerPlanIT Group is seeking a Business Analyst / Project Manager to support our Federal customer in the Washington, DC area. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2-3 years of business analysis experience and a minimum of 3-5 years of project management experience. Strong interpersonal and communications skills. Ability to translate conceptual requirements into business and functional requirements. Start Date: 07/21/25 Location: Remote Duration: One year plus annual extensions. Preference will be given to local candidates first, followed by those in the East Coast time zone.Position Description• Develops, coordinates, tracks, and manages projects for a variety of simultaneous initiatives of varying sizes • Supports cross-functional project teams consisting of application development, IT operations, and information security teams • Works with subject matter experts to document user acceptance test plans and coordinates the execution of user acceptance testing • Documents and tracks project changes, risks, and issues through resolution • Regularly meets with stakeholders to identify and document business, functional, and technical requirements • Maintains and updates all requirements documentation • Communicates changes to requirements and projects to all stakeholdersPrimary RequirementsAbility to comprehend projects holistically, including interdependencies to other systemsAbility to understand and present overall technical solutions at management levelsDegree / certification in either Business Analysis or Project Management is a plusMinimum 2-3 years of business analysis experienceMinimum 3-5 years of project management experienceStrong interpersonal and communications skillsAbility to translate conceptual requirements into business and functional requirementsExperience gathering and documenting business and functional requirementsExperience managing projects across development lifecycles (analysis through implementation)Track record of successfully managing multiple projects of varying scope, size, and complexityFamiliar with software or systems development lifecyclesExperience with both Waterfall and Agile project methodologiesAbility to multi-task and effectively prioritize competing requirementsSelf-starter who can quickly acclimate to a fast-paced environmentMulti-task effectively between business analysis and project management activitiesMust be able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance – US Citizen or Permanent Resident (Green Card Holder) and must not have traveled outside the US for a combined total of 6 months or more in last 5 years.Must have resided in the US for the last 5 years.Cannot have more than 6 months travel outside the United States within the last five years. Military Service excluded. (Exception does not include military family members.)
