Aide - Environmental Service Technician

Position Overview This role involves performing a variety of housekeeping and janitorial tasks to ensure cleanliness and order in patient care areas, administrative offices, and public spaces. The position is essential in maintaining a safe and sanitary environment within a healthcare setting located in a coastal region of the Western United States. Key Responsibilities
All candidates must successfully pass a physical evaluation, drug screening, and background checks prior to employment. Compliance with regional COVID-19 vaccination requirements is mandatory.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment, adhering to unit-based safety and infection control protocols.
- Clean and upkeep assigned areas following established standards.
- Ensure safety at all times, including proper use of wet floor signage.
- Utilize appropriate personal protective equipment and practice proper hand hygiene consistently.
- Understand and fulfill responsibilities during emergency or disaster situations.
- Clean discharge and occupied rooms according to departmental training guidelines.
- Provide professional and courteous customer service at all times.
- Stay current with all hospital-mandated requirements such as annual TB testing, fit testing, and training modules.
- Previous experience in housekeeping or janitorial work is strongly preferred.
- Ability to work safely with cleaning chemicals and solutions, demonstrating knowledge of proper handling and operational procedures for cleaning equipment.
- Capable of reading and understanding written instructions and labels, and communicating effectively with supervisors and healthcare staff.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
