Surgical Technologist Internship

The Internship Program Features:

Minimum Qualifications:

• Enrollment in an accredited Surgical Technology Program required
• High school graduate or equivalent preferred
• One (1) year patient care and/or operating room experience in an accredited hospital preferred
• Basic computer skills
• Demonstrate understanding of aseptic techniques

Status: 6-week internship program starting on June 16th

Department: PeriOperative

Schedule: 40 hours per week for duration of internship

Attributes:

• Basic computer skills.
• Demonstrates understanding of aseptic technique.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills highly desired.
• Enrollment in an accredited Surgical Technology program required.

Responsibilities:

• Intern will rotate through and learn the following:
• Anesthesia
• Surgical Case Prep
• Sterile Technique
• Surgical Scrub, Donning & Doffing of Sterile Scrub Attire
• Surgical Instruments
• Sterilization

Physical Requirements: M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.

Pay Range: $20.00 - $20.00 The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants. It may be modified in the future. Pay is determined by factors including experience, clinical licensure date, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
