Respiratory Therapist RRT

This position may qualify for up to a $30,000 sign‑on bonus. We are looking for a dedicated Respiratory Therapist RRT to join our team at Medical City Dallas. Job Summary The Respiratory Therapist coordinates and delivers high‑quality, patient‑centered respiratory care in accordance with the relevant state and specialty standards. As a vital part of the patient care team, the role involves performing diagnostic tests and therapeutic procedures and monitoring patients receiving invasive and noninvasive mechanical ventilation. Responsibilities Perform and document patient assessments, including breath sounds, airway patency, and cuff pressure. Conduct diagnostic procedures to evaluate the need for, and response to, respiratory therapy. Administer respiratory care therapies, such as oxygen delivery, aerosol medication, and chest physiotherapy. Assist with placement of artificial airways, and initiate, monitor, and maintain mechanical ventilation. Monitor patients for therapeutic response and notify providers of any unintended response. Assist with transportation of ventilator‑dependent patients. Respond to emergent patient situations and ensure airway integrity and adequate ventilation during resuscitation as required. Qualifications Registered Respiratory Therapist (NBRC‑RRT) or State‑qualified Respiratory Therapist/Practitioner (RRT/RCP). Basic Cardiac Life Support required. Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field.
