Student Worker- Community Engagement

Responsibilities Assist with organization of documents and files by scanning, filing and digitizing important information. Prepare mailings and other items as needed related to events and workshops. Learn and promote upcoming enrollment information, community programs/events and all services. Understand Waubonsee’s vision, mission, goals, courses and services to represent the brand’s voice and personality at various events and workshops. Record attendance, interactions, and share photos from the events with the Community Engagement Coordinator. Drive to off‑site locations, haul equipment, set up and tear down. Share ideas with supervisors about new ways to engage with audiences. Monitor feedback from external audiences and escalated complaints to the department. Complete other duties as assigned by the Community Engagement Manager. Minimum Qualifications A Waubonsee student enrolled in at least one credit. Have a minimum GPA of 2.0 or above. Be in good standing with Student Conduct. Be making Satisfactory Academic Progress. Must be able to lift and transit items up to 25 pounds. Be available to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends, at various locations (on‑and off‑campus). Preferred Qualifications Excellent communication and organizational skills. Ability to work 10-20 hours per week. Bilingual and Biliterate in English and Spanish. Experience with Outlook email, Windows, and Microsoft Word. Driver's license and good driving record.
