Work You’ll Do As a PROJECT - Security Engineer III on the Cyber Defense & Resilience team, you will be responsible for… Supporting the day-to-day performance, availability, and security of OT-focused network and monitoring solutions in classified and mission-critical environmentsAssessing network and server infrastructure to identify opportunities for optimization, hardening, and operational improvement across Linux-based environments, including CentOS, Red Hat, Rocky, and RedHawkAutomating system baselines, patching, and administrative processes using tools such as Ansible, Bash, and Kickstart to improve consistency and reduce downtimeCollaborating with engineering, development, and security teams to support DevSecOps practices and maintain alignment with DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides, National Institute of Standards and Technology, and Risk Management Framework requirementsTroubleshooting Linux, network, and infrastructure issues; maintaining technical documentation; and reporting progress, findings, and improvement opportunities to technical and management stakeholders A successful candidate would possess these skills: Ability to work independently and collaborate as part of a teamEffective written and verbal communication skillsMeticulous attention to detail and quality of work productAbility to build and sustain professional relationshipsAbility to lead projects or workstreamsAbility to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced and dynamic environmentStrong interpersonal skills and professional demeanorAbility to meet deadlinesAbility to provide clear guidance to others The Team Deloitte’s Government & Public Services (GPS) practice – our people, ideas, technology and outcomes – is designed for impact. The Project Delivery Talent Model is designed for professionals with specialized skills that align to a current client need. Team members focus on delivering services to clients, without additional expectations related to business development or promotion. Qualifications Required: Bachelor’s degree or equivalence experience requiredActive Secret security clearance requiredMust be local to Huntsville, AL and able to come onsite 5 days a week.DoD 8570 IAT Level II+ Certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+)12+ years of total professional experience5+ years of experience with the following:System/network administration for high-security or government programs, including team and technical leadership.Hands-on experience administering and automating Red Hat Linux environments in production settings.Enterprise Active Directory, Certificate Authority, DNS/DHCP.Experience meeting DoD standards for STIG compliance, ATO, RMF, and vulnerability management.Understanding of DevSecOps automation (Ansible, Git, Bash) and monitoring solution integrationAbility to travel 20%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
