Sanitation Associate

Our client, a leading food distribution company located in Calera, AL, is seeking dependable Sanitation Associates to support warehouse cleanliness, safety, and organization. This role is essential to maintaining a clean and efficient warehouse environment and offers potential for transition into a full-time permanent position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain cleanliness throughout designated warehouse areas
• Travel through assigned warehouse sections to collect and remove larger debris, including wood pieces, shrink wrap, and label backings
• Remove other warehouse waste materials as needed
• Assist with material movement when necessary
• Adhere to all safety and sanitation guidelines

Required Qualifications:

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods
• Strong attention to safety and cleanliness
• Dependable attendance and punctuality

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior warehouse or sanitation experience
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to learn and adapt to warehouse procedures

About the Role:

This is a contract position with an estimated duration of approximately 18-19 weeks based on a standard 40-hour work week. Training schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Following training, associates will most likely transition to a shift of 4:00 AM to 12:30 PM. This position is located onsite at a warehouse facility in Calera, AL, with no travel required. Compensation is competitive and will be discussed during the interview process. This role offers the potential to transition into a permanent position for the right candidate.
