Contract | 12-Hour Shifts | Mids | Every Other Weekend Required | Every Other Holiday Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a combined Emergency and Urgent Care department treating 140–180 patients per day across a 38-bed unit with 5 trauma bays and resuscitation rooms
• Perform triage for both walk-in patients and ambulance arrivals as expected of all nursing staff
• Manage and monitor common vasoactive and cardiac drips including heparin, nitroglycerin, diltiazem, amiodarone, nicardipine, and norepinephrine
• Draw and process labs; monitor patient cardiac rhythms using GE monitoring systems throughout the department
• Collaborate with ED physicians, mid-level providers (PAs, NPs), charge nurses, paramedics, and support staff to deliver coordinated patient care
• Care for a diverse patient population including chest pain, abdominal pain, sepsis, syncope, elevated heart rate, headache, and psychiatric/suicidal ideation cases

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure in good standing
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room experience
• Current ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required prior to start
• Level 1 or Level 2 trauma experience
• Pediatric emergency nursing experience
• Ability to triage patients independently and manage holds intermixed within the general ER environment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Cerner electronic health records
• ENPC certification (encouraged but not required)
• Familiarity with ventilators, CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen equipment in coordination with respiratory therapy
