Barback: DELANO MIAMI BEACH in Miami Beach

Barback Position at Delano Miami Beach

The Barback role at Delano Miami Beach is a full-time position in Miami Beach, Florida. Delano Miami Beach hires the barback to support daily beverage service at the property. The work includes restocking supplies, preparing garnishes, organizing mixers, and keeping the bar clean during service. The role also covers bar setup for special events, inventory checks, closing duties, and safe handling of alcohol and perishable products.

Previous bar or hospitality experience is helpful but not required. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, clear verbal communication, attention to detail, physical stamina, and availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays. Hospitality or mixology certification is beneficial, and additional language skills are preferred. The role is part of the Food & Beverage team and works under the general guidance of the F&B Manager.

Bar Service During Club Hours

The barback keeps beverage service supplied while bartenders handle guest orders. The work includes bringing ingredients and glassware to the station, organizing mixers, preparing garnishes, and keeping frequently used items ready for the next order. A clean and orderly station reduces interruptions during busy service and helps the bar team maintain consistent drink preparation.

Barbacks also monitor stock levels and notify management when supplies run low. Closing duties include cleaning work areas, storing products correctly, and leaving the station ready for the next operating period. The position connects preparation, service, inventory, and sanitation rather than focusing on one task alone.

Barback Station Work

Delano Miami Beach places the barback inside a hotel and hospitality operation where beverage service depends on accurate preparation. The role supports bartenders by keeping ingredients, tools, and service items in their assigned places. Fast movement matters because supplies must reach the bar without interrupting guest service or creating hazards around the work area.

The position also involves physical work. Barbacks stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects, move supplies, and prioritize several requests during service. Attention to detail applies to stock rotation, cleanliness, garnishes, mixers, and the handling of alcohol and perishable products.

Skills For Full-Time Hospitality Work

A high school diploma or equivalent meets the stated education requirement. Previous bartending or hospitality experience can help a candidate recognize service rhythms, organize a station, and communicate with a busy team, but the announcement does not make prior experience mandatory.

Clear verbal communication supports coordination with bartenders, servers, managers, and other food and beverage staff. The role also calls for flexible availability that includes evenings, weekends, and holidays. A neat, clean, well-groomed appearance, reliable task follow-through, and the ability to work under pressure support the guest-service standards of a hotel bar.

Guest Service At Delano Miami Beach

The barback works under the general guidance of the F&B Manager. That reporting relationship places supply preparation, bar cleanliness, event setup, inventory communication, and closing work within the food and beverage operation. The position also requires compliance with employment, civil rights, safety, wage-and-hour, and labor-relations rules relevant to the workplace.

Hospitality or mixology certifications can strengthen an application, while additional language skills can support communication in a guest-facing property. The job announcement also identifies flexibility, physical stamina, and careful prioritization as practical parts of the work. These expectations define a support role with direct responsibility for the bar's readiness throughout service.
