Perioperative Registered Nurse

Clinic StoneCreek Surgery Center is located in Las Vegas and is part of the Comprehensive EyeCare Partners, which operates across four states and manages 11 vision practices. Position Summary As a Perioperative Registered Nurse you will assist in the organization and daily function of the operating room in accordance with established facility policies and procedures. You will also oversee patient care activities and maintain a high standard of safety for patients and staff. Roles and Responsibilities Maintain active professional relationships with physicians and patients by assessing needs and satisfaction with facility services. Make sound nursing judgment based on nursing theory. Document medical records accurately, legibly, and concisely. Organize equipment, instruments, medication, and supplies for cases according to patient needs and physician preference cards. Apply knowledge and experience in a hospital or ambulatory surgical center operating room. Demonstrate appropriate nursing management and intervention during the perioperative period. Perform surgical prep according to standard of care and surgeon preference. Adhere to recommended traffic patterns. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues from diverse backgrounds. Use knowledge of medical record policy and procedure. Support initiatives aimed at improving individual and organizational performance. Experience Requirements 2+ years’ experience in an ambulatory surgery center or operating room (strongly preferred). Experience with ophthalmic procedures is preferred but not required. Experience as an operating room nurse is preferred but not required. Familiarity with computer software and ability to learn new systems quickly (Electronic health record experience preferred). Ability to remain focused, organized, and stand for extended periods. Education Requirements 2‑ or 4‑year degree and a current, unencumbered RN license in Nevada. Current RN license and BLS certification. ACLS certification obtained within 6 months of hire. PALS certification is a plus. Physical Demands Regular use of hands to finger, handle, or feel. Frequent standing, walking, and sitting. Frequent lifting or moving up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Benefits 15 paid days off in the first year.
