Senior Salesforce DeveloperWe are seeking a talented and technically driven Senior Salesforce Developer to join the NEER IT Salesforce team. This role goes beyond traditional Salesforce development — it sits at the intersection of complex platform customization, enterprise integration engineering, data-driven delivery, and AI-augmented development practices. The ideal candidate writes clean, scalable code, takes ownership of end-to-end feature delivery, and embraces Generative AI and Agentic AI tools as a core part of their daily engineering workflow — not as a novelty, but as a force multiplier for quality and velocity.Key ResponsibilitiesPlatform Development & CustomizationDesign, develop, and maintain complex Salesforce solutions across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Experience Cloud — including custom objects, Apex classes, triggers, batch jobs, LWC components, and advanced Flow automationBuild scalable, reusable, and well-documented code aligned with platform best practices, governor limits, and NEER IT coding standardsParticipate in architecture reviews, code reviews, and technical grooming sessions — contributing solutions that are secure, maintainable, and performantTranslate complex business requirements into precise, well-scoped technical implementations with minimal rework and maximum claritySupport DevOps practices including Salesforce DX, Git branching strategies, CI/CD pipeline execution, and sandbox management across multi-org environmentsIntegration EngineeringDevelop and maintain Salesforce integrations with enterprise systems including MuleSoft, SAP, Documentum, Excalibur, and legacy platforms using REST/SOAP APIs, Platform Events, and Change Data Capture (CDC)Implement real-time and batch integration patterns with robust error handling, retry logic, and logging frameworks aligned with enterprise resilience standardsCollaborate with MuleSoft developers and architects to implement integration contracts, validate data flows, and ensure end-to-end system reliabilitySupport multi-system workflow development spanning case management, document handling, and regulated utility operations — ensuring integration layers are testable, observable, and auditableData EngineeringBuild and maintain Salesforce data models including custom objects, relationships, schema design, and field-level governance aligned with enterprise data standardsSupport data migration efforts from legacy platforms (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics) — contributing to ETL/ELT design, transformation logic, data validation scripts, reconciliation frameworks, and cutover executionCollaborate with Enterprise Data Platform (EDP) and Data Cloud teams to ensure data pipelines, structures, and quality standards are consistently applied across systemsImplement data quality rules, deduplication logic, and audit-ready data lineage aligned with NERC compliance and utility-sector regulatory requirementsGenerative AI & Agentic AI DeliveryLeverage Agentic AI platforms (Windsurf, Devin, or equivalent) daily for accelerated code generation, test automation, story refinement, and technical documentationApply prompt engineering best practices — iterative prompting, session scoping, and peer review gates — to ensure AI-generated code is clean, complete, and production-readyIdentify and remediate AI-generated code smells, token management issues, and output inconsistencies before delivery — upholding quality standards in an AI-augmented workflowIntegrate Salesforce Einstein AI, Agentforce, and GenAI-enabled flows into case management, portal, and automation workflows under the guidance of the Tech Lead and ArchitectContribute to team-level AI efficiency benchmarks including development velocity gains, BA/QA effort reduction, and sprint throughput improvements aligned with NEER's AI-first delivery strategyGovernance, Security & ComplianceDevelop solutions that adhere to Salesforce platform governance standards including permission sets, profiles, field-level security, and sharing model best practicesEnsure all code and configuration meet NERC compliance, utility-sector regulatory standards, and audit-ready documentation requirementsSupport security reviews, vulnerability assessments, and AppExchange product evaluations as neededMaintain thorough technical documentation for all delivered solutions, integrations, and data componentsCollaboration & Agile DeliveryWork closely with the Tech Lead, Product Owner, and Business Analyst to clarify requirements, refine user stories, and deliver sprint-ready, high-quality work items on timeParticipate actively in Agile ceremonies — sprint planning, backlog grooming, daily standups, and retrospectives — as a reliable and communicative delivery contributorCollaborate with QA leads to support SIT/UAT, write unit tests, and drive defect resolution — maintaining defect counts below the 5% threshold across platform releasesMentor junior developers on platform best practices, AI tooling adoption, and code quality standards — contributing to team capability growth and knowledge sharingRequired Qualifications4+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience with demonstrated ownership of complex, production-grade solutionsDeep expertise in Apex, LWC, Flows, SOQL/SOSL, platform events, and Salesforce platform internals including governor limits and bulkification patternsProven experience with enterprise integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, Platform Events, CDC, and middleware platforms such as MuleSoftHands-on experience with data migration projects — ETL/ELT design, transformation logic, data validation, and cutover executionProficiency with Salesforce DX, Git, CI/CD pipelines, and sandbox/release management practicesActive daily use of Generative AI and/or Agentic AI tools in a software delivery context with measurable quality and productivity outcomesExperience across Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and workflow automation in enterprise environmentsSalesforce certifications: Platform Developer I (required); Platform Developer II strongly preferredPreferred QualificationsExperience in regulated utility, energy, or infrastructure sectors with awareness of NERC compliance, audit requirements, and data governance standardsFamiliarity with Salesforce Data Cloud, Einstein AI, or Agentforce and AI-enabled workflow developmentHands-on experience with Windsurf, Devin, or similar Agentic AI coding platforms in a team delivery
