Special Chemistry Technologist - Halsey

Labcorp seeks a Special Chemistry Technologist for its Portland laboratory to perform electrophoresis and related testing, manage specimen quality, operate instrumentation, and ensure accurate test results in a clinical setting.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate specimen acceptability and perform electrophoresis testing procedures
• Operate, monitor and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation for proper function
• Execute preventive maintenance and quality control documentation
• Prepare and evaluate new reagents and controls
• Report timely and accurate test results to support patient care

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Life Science or Medical Technology
• ASCP or AMT certification
• Ability to pass standardized color blindness test
• One or more years clinical laboratory experience in Special Chemistry (preferred)
• Strong attention to detail and multitasking capability
• Proficiency working independently and collaboratively
