Position Specialty Representative / Senior Specialty Representative What you will do In this vital role you will be the primary customer contact, providing clinical knowledge of our products to medical professionals and helping them navigate the complex payer environment. You will implement marketing strategy and promote Amgen products under the direction of the District Manager. Responsibilities Provide current and comprehensive knowledge of Amgen’s products and communicate clinical benefits to drive appropriate utilization. Act as a sales leader to achieve territory sales by delivering branded sales messages and conducting planned programs, both in-person and virtual. Develop relationships and manage accounts, customizing discussions based on customer needs, ensuring product access and resolving reimbursement issues. Provide feedback on marketing strategy, analyze sales activity effectiveness, and develop territory plans in partnership with the District Manager. Partner with colleagues to share best practices and continuously learn and grow. Demonstrate passion for Amgen’s products throughout the sales cycle, building the brand while keeping patient impact front‑and‑center. Basic Qualifications – Specialty Representative Bachelor’s Degree, or Associate’s degree and 4 years of sales experience, or High school diploma/GED and 6 years of sales experience. Basic Qualifications – Senior Specialty Representative Associate’s degree and 6 years of sales experience, or High school diploma/GED and 8 years of sales experience. Preferred Qualifications Three or more years of sales experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device industry. Product or hospital sales experience in oncology, nephrology, dermatology, rheumatology, inflammation, cardiology, neurology, endocrinology, hepatology, gastroenterology or infectious diseases. Local market knowledge and established relationships in the territory. Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or Business Administration. Adaptability with core competencies: planning and organizing; leveraging business, industry, and technical knowledge; communicating with impact; driving for results; cultivating internal and external relationships. Benefits & Compensation Annual salary range for Specialty Representative: $89,880 – $121,602. Annual salary range for Senior Specialty Representative: $115,949 – $156,872 (actual salary based on skills, experience, and qualifications).
