Quality Technician

Quality Control TechnicianThe Quality Control Technician provides technical support to ensure product quality, regulatory compliance, and environmental standards are consistently met. This role performs chemical testing on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products, analyzes results, and recommends adjustments as needed.The position also supports continuous improvement efforts and actively participates in Quality, Health, and Safety programs, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction.Key ResponsibilitiesFollow all safety policies and maintain safe work practices in accordance with company standardsConduct testing on raw materials, production batches, and finished goods; accurately record and evaluate resultsCalculate and recommend product adjustments to meet quality specificationsEnsure production aligns with Bill of Materials (BOM) requirementsMaintain accurate inventory transactions related to batch productionCalibrate, operate, and maintain laboratory equipmentPrepare and review Certificates of Analysis (CoAs) for raw materials and finished goodsPerform internal and finished goods audits; support ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 compliance effortsUtilize Statistical Process Control (SPC) and support root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actionsCollaborate with R&D and Regulatory teams on product or process improvements and non-conformance issuesPrepare lab samples for testing new materials, processes, or troubleshooting production issuesMaintain laboratory supplies and ensure proper inventory levelsReview and update laboratory procedures and work instructions as neededCore CompetenciesIntegrity: Demonstrates honesty, accountability, and ethical behaviorAction-Oriented: Proactive, energetic, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environmentTeamwork: Collaborates effectively and supports team successRelationship Building: Builds trust and communicates openly with peersProblem-Solving & Innovation: Applies analytical thinking and contributes new ideas for improvementQualificationsEducation:Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related field preferredEquivalent combination of education and experience will be consideredExperience:1–2 years of quality control or laboratory experience preferredSkills & KnowledgeStrong organizational and multitasking abilitiesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAnalytical thinking and problem-solving capabilityKnowledge of laboratory procedures and analytical chemistry techniquesExperience with laboratory instrumentation and calibrationProficiency in Microsoft Office and systems such as SAP or similar ERP toolsPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand for extended periods (up to 4 hours at a time)Ability to occasionally lift up to 45 lbsWe understand that candidates will not meet every single desired qualification.
