2:50 PM: You step onto the floor at our Santa Fe Springs, CA plant, safety gear on and gauges in hand. By 3:00 PM, you’re bringing a Uniloy blow molding line from a cold start to a steady rhythm—dialing in parison settings, calibrating weights, and validating bottle depth, color, and appearance before the first approved container leaves the molder.

Across the shift, you keep production humming: tuning settings to hold spec, chasing root causes when a leak detector flags an issue, clearing a cooling bed alarm, and coordinating with teammates to move product via sit-down forklift and run the bagger. You document output, downtime, and rejects with precision, maintain 5S standards, and close your day aligned to GMP and safety protocols.

2nd Shift: 3:00 PM – 1:30 AM, Monday–Thursday (10-hour shifts). Most Fridays may be scheduled based on business need.

Compensation: $25.88/hour plus $0.25/hour shift differential. A union wage increase to $26.78/hour is scheduled for August.

• Operate Uniloy blow molding lines from startup through shutdown to maximize throughput and stability.
• Execute cold starts to full production; verify quality before releasing runs.
• Adjust weights and parison settings to maintain dimensional accuracy and appearance.
• Troubleshoot leak detectors, cooling beds, and molder issues; implement corrective actions.
• Conduct and record quality checks for weight, appearance, bottle depth, and color; escalate non-conformances.
• Perform daily setups, PMs, and bottle-size changeovers.
• Operate a sit-down forklift and bagger to support flow.
• Accurately log production, downtime, and reject data.
• Clean and care for blow mold equipment; uphold 5S and GMP.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 2+ years of direct blow molding operating experience (injection molding does not satisfy this requirement).
• Hands-on Uniloy experience strongly preferred.
• 1+ year operating a sit-down forklift (required).
• Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred.
• Proven troubleshooting of blow mold systems: leak detectors, cooling beds, and molder mechanics.
• Fluency in blow mold quality standards; PET background is a plus.
• Experience running baggers preferred.
• Electrical background preferred; able to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
• Self-driven, accountable, and comfortable working independently with urgency.
• Team-focused contributor who sets a positive tone on the floor.
• Able to read, write, speak, and understand English instructions, schedules, and requests.

• Stand up to 10 hours per shift.
• Perform repetitive motions (grasping, reaching, bending, lifting).
• Lift 35–40 lbs regularly.
• Work near moving mechanical equipment and conveyors.
• Wear required PPE.
• Perform in a manufacturing environment with variable temperature, noise, and chemical exposure.
