Global Controller

Job Title: Global Controller Location / Work Structure: Cincinnati, OH Position Overview The Global Controller will oversee all global accounting, financial reporting, consolidations, compliance, and internal controls functions across the organization. Reporting directly to the CFO, this individual will lead a high‑performing accounting team while driving process improvement, standardization, and operational scalability across multiple international business units. This role requires a strong manufacturing background, leadership experience in complex global environments, and the ability to balance strategic initiatives with day‑to‑day accounting operations. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full‑time basis. Key Responsibilities Lead all global accounting operations including general ledger, consolidations, month‑end close, financial reporting, and technical accounting Oversee preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with US GAAP Manage global consolidations across multiple domestic and international entities Ensure compliance with all regulatory, tax, audit, and internal control requirements Partner closely with executive leadership to provide financial insights and support strategic decision‑making Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on automation, process optimization, and reporting efficiency Lead and develop accounting teams across multiple regions and business units Coordinate external audits and maintain strong relationships with auditors, banks, and external advisors Support M&A activity including due diligence, integration, and financial reporting alignment Collaborate cross‑functionally with FP&A, operations, supply chain, and plant leadership teams Maintain and enhance ERP systems, accounting policies, and internal control environments Ensure timely and accurate reporting of inventory, standard costing, manufacturing variances, and operational KPIs Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA strongly preferred 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance leadership experience Prior experience within large‑scale manufacturing environments required Experience leading accounting functions for organizations with $500M+ in revenue preferred Strong knowledge of US GAAP, consolidations, internal controls, and financial reporting Experience with global operations and multi‑entity accounting structures Proven leadership experience managing and developing high‑performing teams ERP system experience required; SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms preferred Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with executive leadership and cross‑functional stakeholders Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, growth‑oriented environment Preferred Experience Public accounting foundation (Big 4 or large regional firm preferred) Experience supporting private equity‑backed or publicly traded organizations Exposure to international accounting operations and foreign currency consolidations Manufacturing industry expertise including cost accounting, inventory controls, and plant operations finance Benefits Health, Dental, Vision Voluntary Short & Long‑Term Disability Voluntary Life Insurance 401(k) Equal Employment Opportunity Statement Vernovis provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local laws.
