Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Step into an engaging contract opportunity for the 2026-2027 academic year supporting middle school students as a skilled School Psychologist. In this dynamic role, you’ll serve a vibrant learning community located near Baldwin City and Ottawa, KS, with the flexibility to work full-time or part-time according to your availability. One dedicated hybrid day each week is provided, giving you the convenience of remote report writing to balance your work commitments and personal needs.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid School Psychologist certification or license, with eligible credentials for Kansas.
- Previous experience in K-12 educational settings, preferably working with middle school age groups.
- Strong ability to conduct comprehensive assessments, interpret results, and develop data-driven recommendations.
- Skills in consultation, collaboration, and building positive relationships with students, staff, and families.
- Comfort utilizing digital platforms for evaluation and documentation processes.
- Excellent communication and time management abilities.
Role Responsibilities:
- Perform cognitive, behavioral, and socioemotional assessments to support individual learning needs.
- Develop, document, and report evaluation findings for IEP meetings, complying with special education guidelines.
- Offer support and expertise to multidisciplinary teams, including teachers, counselors, and administrators.
- Provide recommendations for interventions and accommodations that enhance the educational environment.
- Maintain up-to-date, confidential records in accordance with district policies and ethical standards.
- Participate in student intervention and prevention initiatives, helping foster a safe and supportive school culture.
