Job Overview: As a room attendant you will clean guest rooms and/or suites in a timely manner to ensure total guest satisfaction. Duties and Responsibilities: Clean and service assigned rooms/areas according to IHG standards and procedures, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning and sanitising bathrooms, removing trash, and cleaning kitchen areas such as stove, refrigerators and coffee makers. Respond to guest complaints and special requests, and ensure corrective action is taken to achieve complete guest satisfaction. Notify supervisor when service is completed so the room may be sold or occupied. Report any damage or unsafe conditions to supervisor. Report, turn in, and log all lost and found items according to IHG procedures. Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments. Regularly assist with deep‑cleaning projects. Assist with other duties assigned. Work outside in different weather elements. Work weekends and holidays. Qualifications and Requirements: Basic reading, writing, and math skills. Some housekeeping experience and ability to speak English is preferred. Ability to perform the following physical tasks: Carry or lift items weighing up to 50 pounds and push or pull approximately 200 pounds. Frequently stand up, move about the facility, and handle objects and equipment. Frequently bend, stoop, kneel, and walk up and down stairs.
