Accumet Engineering Inc , is an industry-leading advanced processing manufacturer for new and legacy materials fabrication, precision laser services, and critical component assembly. We are looking for an experienced Buyer to join our team.

Job Summary

The Buyer at Accumet Engineering, Inc is responsible for purchasing materials and components to meet the company needs. Their duties will include negotiating deals with suppliers, researching possible item selections and taking inventory of current products.

Responsibilities

• Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential suppliers, products, and services
• Evaluate new suppliers
• Developing an effective and accurate system for monitoring purchase orders
• Maintaining positive relationships with new and existing suppliers
• Negotiating contracts and pricing with suppliers
• Maintaining positive relationships with suppliers 
• Ensuring materials are delivered on time 
• Keeping track of inventory levels to meet production needs
• Responsible for maintaining approved vendor list and closely wok with Quality department
• Working with the management team to ensure that all deliveries satisfy the assigned orders and timely report any back ordered or missing products
• Monitor open order reports and expediate deliveries of product/services
• Verify invoices for accuracy

Minimum Requirements

• Excellent organizational, Time management
• An aptitude for figures, finance, budgets, and numeracy
• Industry Knowledge and Experience desirable
• Working knowledge of Microsoft office
• Interpersonal Skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Analytical skills
• Negotiation skills

Physical Demands

The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk; lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision ability is required which includes close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
