As the Ultrasound Technologist, you will work alongside a dedicated group of professionals truly making a difference in the health and lives of the people of West Florida. You will be proficient in two of the following: echocardiography, vascular sonography, and/or general sonography. Responsibilities Perform abdominal, pelvic (gynecological & obstetrical), and transvaginal sonograms. Scan small parts (thyroid, breasts, and scrotum) and perform ultrasound-guided biopsies, drainage, thoracentesis, paracentesis, and aspirations. Utilize strong knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and vasculature. Perform upper and lower arterial and venous vascular studies (carotid studies with measurements and manipulation – augmentations and segmental pressures). Perform complete echocardiographic studies, including 2‑D mode & color Doppler. Qualifications High school diploma plus some college, business or technical training. BLS certification. ARDMS certification required (or eligible to sit for exam) for sonographer. RVT certification preferred (or eligible to sit for exam) for vascular sonographer. Certification in vascular ultrasound by ARRT or ARDMS or CCI. ARDCS certification preferred (or eligible to sit for exam) for echocardiographer.
