Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Desktop Support Technician (Level 2/3) for a one-month onsite contract assignment in Midtown Manhattan. The ideal candidate is a hands-on IT professional who can troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and end-user technical issues in a fast-paced corporate environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide Level 2/3 desktop and end-user technical support for Windows and macOS environments.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, operating system, and connectivity issues.
- Install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
- Support Microsoft 365, Outlook, Teams, and enterprise applications.
- Troubleshoot Active Directory, user accounts, permissions, and access-related issues.
- Handle laptop provisioning, imaging, deployment, and equipment replacements.
- Troubleshoot VPN, Wi-Fi, and basic network connectivity issues.
- Escalate infrastructure-related issues and coordinate with internal IT teams.
- Document support tickets, resolutions, and technical issues.
- Provide responsive, professional onsite support to employees and executives.
Required Qualifications
- 3–5+ years of hands-on desktop support experience, including Level 2/3 troubleshooting.
- Strong experience supporting Windows 10/11 and macOS.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and enterprise applications.
- Experience with hardware diagnostics, laptop deployment, and endpoint troubleshooting.
- Working knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and wireless networking.
- Familiarity with ticketing systems such as ServiceNow or Jira.
- Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and contribute immediately with minimal training.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Microsoft Intune, SCCM/MECM, or Jamf.
- Experience supporting executives and VIP users.
- Familiarity with endpoint security and device management.
