Design Engineer (Structures) - Early Career

Description Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is seeking a full‑time Early Career Design Support Engineer. Responsibilities Evaluate and investigate pertinent design factors on aircraft retrofit and production engineering design, 3‑D models, and drawings. Identify design compatibility errors and verify all features are of one interpretation, complete and adequate for downstream users. Ensure the engineering design, models, drawings, and related data meet all contractual, company, and program requirements. Basic Qualifications Bachelor's or associate's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Civil Engineering, or a related STEM field. Familiar with CATIA, SolidWorks, or other CAD applications. Desired Skills Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). Familiar with reading and interpreting engineering drawings. Very detail oriented with good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work in a collaborative, fast‑paced team environment. Proficient with Microsoft Office. Security Clearance This position requires a government security clearance. Must be a U.S. Citizen. Clearance Level: Secret. Work Information Location: Onsite, designated Lockheed Martin facility. Schedule: 4×10 hour day, 3 days off per week. Additional Details Experience Level: 4 years and up (College). Business Unit: Aeronautics Company. Relocation Available: Yes.
