Mixer Batcher

Job Description

SURESTAFF is immediately hiring a Mixer/Batcher for our client's chemical manufacturing plant in Elgin, Illinois. TheMixer/Batcher is responsible for mixing chemicals to produce bulk materials for packaging production to the specifications of the batch card in a timely and safe manner. Position will entail standing for long periods of time and lifting up to 50 pounds throughout shift. Successful applicants will be very detail-oriented and able to work with little supervision. SURESTAFF is invested in their team members! All temp-to-hire employees are offered competitive compensation ($20) as well as a benefits package including health insurance (medical, dental, and vision). Available shifts include: 5:00 pm -5:00 am training will be on the 1st shift 5:00 am - 5:00 pm and must be flexible to move to the night shift after training. Overtime is available on a first come, first serve basis.
Responsibilities of the Mixer/ Batcher:

• Running and managing the production equipment.
• Clean up and change over responsibilities.
• Batch pre-weigh and blending.
• Equipment routine maintenance.
• Perform quality control testing on product as it is being produced.
• Maintaining and cleaning the production equipment and surrounding work areas.
• Maintaining and recording production run records.
• Sample products as they are being produced.
• Work with VP Manufacturing and Director of Technical Services and Development on Customer Complaint Investigations.

Preferred Qualifications of the Mixer/ Batcher:

• Knowledge and experience working with chemicals and/or chemical compounding.
• Previous experience in a production environment.
• Basic mathematical skills, experience with the metrics system.
• Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent
