About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cardiac Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours (06:45 - 19:15) Experience: Minimum of 2 years required License: Active nursing license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Telemetry and PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown experience. Interpretation of dysrhythmias and remote monitoring required. Pre/Post Cardiac Cath, Pre/Post Cardiac Surgery, and Sheath Removal experience required. Accessing ports and blood product administration experience required. Central line care management and PICC line management experience required. Experience in titrating cardiac drips such as Diltiazem and Amiodarone is required. Post cardiac catheterization experience required. Description: RTO after booking is not allowed and is not allowed to be worked out on site. Any call-offs or additional RTO on the unit could possibly result in cancellation and DNR. Floating is required as needed; there is potential to float every shift. The unit will accept first-time travelers. Five to six weekend shifts are expected, equating to every other weekend. Contract staff may be required to report to work during significant events, disasters, or mass casualty situations. Staffing ratios are typically 1:5-6. The unit monitors cardiac patients and administers cardiac drips including Dobutamine, Amiodarone, Cardizem, Milrinone, and Dopamine. The responsibilities include sheath pulls and managing TR bands and Femstop. The patient population includes individuals with congestive heart failure and arrhythmias. Candidates must pass EKG testing prior to the start of this specialty. Candidates must be open to floating within or near the facility. References can be pending at submission. Pre-start modules must be completed online prior to the start. All testing must be completed promptly as directed. The hospital may consolidate to a centralized office mid-contract as needed. This position requires flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
