Job Opportunity

Position Overview

This position offers a day shift schedule of 5x8 hours, primarily from Monday to Friday, with an expectation to cover some weekends. Candidates must be willing to work one of three major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year's.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of acute care or medical-surgical experience required.
• Previous charge experience preferred.
• Candidates must hold a valid compact license in hand at the time of submission.
• First-time travelers are accepted.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Care coordination and discharge planning.
• Utilizing various healthcare guidelines and criteria to ensure medical necessity.
• Interdisciplinary support, including collaboration with social services and rapid response teams.
• Managing patient cases with an expected daily census of 18-20 patients.

Unit Information

The work environment involves providing care to adults and geriatric patients, with duties that may require floating to nearby facilities. Candidates should anticipate occasional floating between sister facilities in the region, and refusal to float could lead to assignment termination.

Additional Requirements

Candidates should be prepared to adhere to all scheduling commitments, including the upfront request of time off (RTO) and other scheduling preferences during the submission process. Any inflexibility regarding scheduled hours may impact contract continuation.

References

Two professional references covering one year of experience within the last three years are required as part of the compliance process. References may include charge nurses or team leads.

This opportunity is located in a healthcare facility within the city of Seattle, WA.

Travel staff may be required to utilize provided communication devices as necessary for job performance. If not provided, travel staff will be reimbursed for work-related cell phone use within specified monthly limits.
