Project Manager

Position Overview Power your future with Qualus in our Program Management department as a Project Manager. Our Project Managers are responsible for the successful initiation, planning, execution, control and close-out of major power generation projects. We support the build of a new combined cycle independent power generation facility to support the power demands on our electrical grid. Employees in this role must have project management experience with power generation facility construction projects. Responsibilities Provide strategic project management leadership for large and complex power generation projects Lead projects through internal and external processes, navigating each project through stage gates to completion Oversee project scope, schedule, and cost Take accountability for key project decision-making Manage a collaborative project team to ensure project success Lead overall project: coaching, conflict resolution, facilitation, motivation, and negotiation Lead project meetings Develop, update and manage the project plan for the project life cycle Coordinate communication and provide status updates to stakeholders as required Assess project risk and proactively develop mitigation plans Manage project requests for information and action items Ensure availability of adequate resources to support the project Establish and maintain effective working relationships with relevant stakeholders Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree required Minimum of 3 years of power generation project management experience required PMP Certification is desired Demonstrate the ability to be organized and work on multiple projects and meet deadlines by setting priorities Must be able to prepare clear and concise status updates and reports as required Proven experience in Microsoft software applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Primavera, and SharePoint Proficient in analyzing problems, identifying alternative solutions, the project consequences of proposed actions, and implementing recommendations to support project scope, schedule, and cost objectives Demonstrates excellent leadership, verbal and written communication, time management, interpersonal and organizational skills Consistently produces results that meet goals, has high work standards, and understands the business environment and processes Achieves results by problem-solving, setting priorities, and organization Strives for individual excellence by seeking challenges and self-development, demonstrating high levels of expertise, and showing commitment, self-confidence, and integrity Benefits & Compensation Qualus benefits offered include Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short and Long-Term Disability, 401k match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays, for those who qualify.
