We proudly serve residents who depend on us for both long-term and short-term care, and we're always interested in connecting with dedicated professionals who share our commitment to excellence. If you're looking for a workplace with a supportive team, appreciative residents, and opportunities to grow your career, Cascades at St. Anne may be the right fit for you. What you'll do:Follows recipes and prepare meals that correspond to the menu cycleCooks or prepares palatable, attractive, nutritionally adequate meals in institutional quantities according to census and diet type, that are served at proper temperatures and at proper timesAdjusts food quantities according to the needs of residents to prevent over/under production of foodServes meals on timeKeeps a clean and organized work areaPrepares and maintain a supply of food substitutes to accommodate resident's choice and preferencesAssists Dietary Manager in preparations for inspections and state surveysFollows facility policies and procedures for infection control at all timesOther duties as necessary and assigned.What we offer:Competitive hourly pay based on experience Professional liability insuranceFlexible scheduleOn the job training/mentoring as neededContinuing educationWhat we're looking for:Current Food Handlers PermitServSafe Certification is preferredAbility to read, speak, and understand EnglishHigh school diploma or equivalentOne plus years' experience working in a commercial kitchenExperience cooking in a skilled nursing facility a plusPhysical Requirements and Environmental Conditions:Exposure to body fluids and communicable diseasesFull range of body motion including handling and lifting objectsAbility to lift/push/pull 50-100 lbs. unassistedAbility to stand or walk for long periods of timeMust be able to see and hear or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately to ensure that the requirements of this position can be fully metMust meet the general health requirements set forth by the policies of the facilityWhy us:Our Cooks care for a geriatric population that depends on consistent, knowledgeable, and compassionate care.
