CDL Delivery Driver - Class A

Position Summary The primary function of a delivery driver is to safely and efficiently operate a commercial motor vehicle in compliance with company policies along with Federal and State regulations and deliver all freight undamaged. Work as a team player to deliver, load/unload materials while providing a world class customer service experience. Duties & Responsibilities Inspect truck/trailer for defects to ensure safe operation. Safely load building materials onto flatbed or boom truck and unload products at commercial and residential job sites. Deliver materials to assigned areas as directed by the customer while prioritizing personal safety and the safety of others. Maintain records required for compliance with state and federal regulations. Report all accidents involving driver or company equipment. Lift heavy building materials up to 100+ lbs. during load/unload operations. Provide excellent customer service skills and maintain a professional attitude. Basic Qualifications High School diploma or GED. Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL). Minimum Class B license, Class A strongly preferred. Clear three-year Motor Vehicle Report (MVR). Knowledge of Department of Transportation regulations. Core competencies: Trust, integrity, servant leadership, respect for diverse perspectives, positive and humble attitude. Ability to work independently and on a team, lead, execute, and delegate as needed. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written. Physical Requirements Remain stationary while driving a commercial vehicle 40% of the time. Lift heavy materials up to 80 lbs. for loading and unloading. Move materials weighing up to 80 lbs. during unloading from flatbed or boom. Judge distance accurately while delivering materials and operating boom equipment. Communicate effectively with management and coworkers. Work outdoors during deliveries. Required Cognitive Skills Prioritize job sites and deadlines. Manage stress according to customer deadlines. Multitask efficiently. Receive information and directions promptly. Communicate solutions quickly if problems occur. Exercise sound judgment at all times. Benefits and Compensation The base salary for this position typically falls within the range of $23.51 to $29.90 per hour. Starting wage may vary based on location, education, training, and/or experience. Hourly associates may be eligible for overtime, performance-based bonus programs, commissions, car allowance or automobile and fuel program, and reimbursement for travel expenses in accordance with company travel policy.
