Inpatient EEG Technologist

Inpatient EEG Tech Shift: Will work 3x12s, Nights, 7p-7:30a, with holidays as needed. Weekend REQ: On call: No call Floating Req: Yes -floating between SJCH and ART as needed Preferred/Required: Years of experience REQ: 2 year experience required Experience REQ adult ICU and EMU and pediatric ICU and EMU Certification REQ: R. EEG T. Certification Preferred: CLTM First-timers accepted: Yes Radius rule? Yes, 60 miles Are locals accepted? Yes, at 10% less than the posted bill rate RTO Restrictions: All RTO must be included at time of submission. Approval will be based on Guaranteed Hours: Facility allowed to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks MUSC is a Level 4 Comprehensive Epilepsy Center as well as a Joint Commission Comprehensive Stroke Center with world class technology (and attending physicians). Our Clinical Neurophysiology Lab proudly comprises five accredited labs including an IOM team, Outpatient EEG team, Inpatient EEG team, EMG team and Neurovascular team. Our Inpatient EEG Department services both Adult and Pediatric patients with Routine EEGs, LTM/Continuous EEG, EMU, Epilepsy Surgery including SEEG, Cortical Mapping, WADA and SPECTs with EEG Technologist bedside. Our EEG Technologists rotate between live monitoring our LTM/EMU/SEEG patients and performing hook ups, wire maintenance, EMU daily activations, and LTM skin checks. Our team works 3 x 12 hours shifts per week and our operations are 24/7. We typically have at least 4 EEG Technologists in house through any given night shift. We have a monitoring room at both our Main University hospital servicing adults as well as our Shawn Jenkins Children's Hospital that is conveniently two blocks away. Technologists self sign up to be at our Children's Hospital and they also service the connecting Cardiac and Vascular Adult Hospital. Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season, all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams. If this is a problem, please ensure travelers do not confirm a new or ext assignment during the season. Hurricane season runs from June through November each year. The peak months for hurricane activity are August and September.
