This role supports efficient operations by minimizing downtime and ensuring all equipment runs safely and reliably, while assisting with mechanical and basic electrical troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and repair projects as directed by the Maintenance Leadership.Essential Job Functions:Key ResponsibilitiesPerform routine preventive maintenance on corrugators, conveyors, die cutters, stackers, and any other equipment in the facility.Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to minimize downtimeRespond quickly to equipment breakdowns and production issuesInspect machinery to identify potential problems and recommend corrective actionsMechanical Maintenance & RepairsAssist with mechanical troubleshooting and repairs on production equipmentIdentify and repair air, water, glue, oil, and assist with steam leaksTroubleshoot and repair basic pumps and pump systemsWork with pneumatic and hydraulic systems, including cylindersRepair or replace cylinders and other mechanical componentsWork with various mechanical hardware (fasteners, fittings, threads, etc.)Perform basic fabrication and repairs using welding, machining, and fastening methodsWork with bearings, bushings, locking collars, chains, sprockets, belts, pulleys, and tensionersMaintain proper alignment, tolerances, and mechanical fitAssist with rigging and setup for roll changes and major repairsAssemble racking, equipment, and related structuresRead and interpret basic schematics and mechanical drawingsElectrical & Facility SupportAssist with basic electrical troubleshooting and repairsMaintain facility systems including lighting, basic electrical, and compressed air systemsGeneral Maintenance DutiesReplace or repair defective components such as motors, belts, bearings, valves, and sensorsAssist with equipment setup, changeovers, and installationsMaintain accurate maintenance records, logs, and reportsSupport continuous improvement and equipment reliability initiativesScheduling & ComplianceFollow all safety procedures and ensure compliance with OSHA and company policiesWork overtime and weekends as requiredSupport maintenance team needs.Qualifications:RequiredHigh school diploma or GED (technical or trade school preferred)Basic knowledge of:Mechanical systems (bearings, chains, sprockets, gearboxes)Electrical systems (motors, sensors, basic controls)Hydraulics and pneumaticsAbility to troubleshoot and perform basic repairs on production equipmentExperience using hand and power tools safelyAbility to read and interpret basic mechanical drawings and schematicsStrong problem-solving and troubleshooting skillsGood communication skills and ability to work in a team environmentBasic computer skills for maintenance tracking and reportingAbility to work overtime, weekends, and a rotating schedule as neededDemonstration of minimum proficiency with the English language in order to ensure effective new hire training and on-going communications about safety and quality issues.Preferred1–3 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environmentExperience in corrugated or packaging manufacturing (corrugators, die cutters, flexo folder gluers)Basic PLC troubleshooting experienceWelding and basic fabrication skillsExperience with pumps, conveyors, and high-speed production linesFamiliarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems)Understanding of preventive and predictive maintenance practicesMachines/Tools/Equipment:Hand tools and power tools (wrenches, sockets, drills, grinders, impact tools, etc.)Precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, alignment tools, feeler gauges)Welding and fabrication equipment (MIG, TIG, stick welders, cutting torches)Machine shop equipment (lathe, mill, drill press, band saw)Hydraulic and pneumatic tools and systemsCorrugated production equipment (corrugators, die cutters, flexo folder gluers, conveyors, stackers)Pumps, motors, gearboxes, bearings, and drive systemsRigging equipment (chain falls, hoists, slings, lifting devices)Forklifts / tow motors and other material handling equipmentElectrical testing equipment (multimeter, voltage testers, amp clamps)Computer systems and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems)Basic office equipmentSafety:Employees are expected to follow all facility safety
