Here, you'll be supported in progressing – whatever your ambitions.As a Manufacturing Technician II, you are responsible for performing functions associated with all manufacturing operations in daily support of products, processes, materials, and equipment in order to achieve production goals (i.e., safety, quality, delivery, and cost). Daily tasks include responding to equipment downtimes issues on the production floor, performing routine preventative maintenance on production equipment, and supporting Manufacturing Engineers (ME) in value improvement projects. Most of your time is spent on the production floor, working on equipment, and engaging with our Medical Device Specialists (i.e. MDS operators).With general supervision, you will work on 2nd shift as part of a technician team in the Nitinol Shape Memory (NSM) business unit. NSM 2nd shift runs Monday-Friday from 1:30pm to 9:30pm. Mandatory weekend OT is required on a rotation recurring basis. Current OT requirement is minimum once (Saturday and Sunday) every 4 weeks.This role follows an onsite work model, requiring employees to be in our local office five days per week. Relocation assistance is not available for this position at this time. Boston Scientific will not offer sponsorship or take over sponsorship of an employment VISA for this position at this time.Your responsibilities will include:Observes and complies with all safety rules and regulations. This includes QSR and ISO Standards.Apply mechanical, electrical, control, and pneumatic knowledge to troubleshoot and solve equipment and process problems for various automated equipment.Identify and troubleshoot process, material, or equipment problems to minimize downtimeIdentifies and implements corrective actions for manufacturing related issues.Performs equipment setup and corrective, preventive, and calibration maintenance as necessary.Support equipment startups and shutdowns, which may include staying late to make sure equipment is in a safe state.Installs and validates equipment and processes in the production area to improve yield and/or reduce cycle time following the established validation procedure.Modify existing and develop new tooling and fixturesEvaluates and orders necessary equipment, tools and fixturesResponsible for quality and adhering to manufacturing process requirements, the Boston Scientific Corporation Quality Policy and the Strategic Quality Process (SQP). Proactively communicates quality issues and concerns.Understands and applies a solid understanding of Lean Manufacturing and related principles.Assist in Value Improvement (VIP) and implementing new equipment or processes or improving existing ones for cost savingsTrain and provide technical support or direction to product builders and other techniciansUnderstands and applies flex strategy, rotates as necessary and works well with all group members, both within the team and cross-functionally.Actively participates in Shared Responsibility and continuous improvement teams.Understands, follows and promotes all BSC and site-specific policies and procedures.Responsible for attending and passing all core required BSC and site-specific training (i.e. QS Basics, RTK, Lean Training)Required qualifications:2 Years with High School Diploma and/or equivalent experience, training, or apprenticeshipsRequired salary range: $43,368 - $73,736 based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role.
