SOC Analyst

Focused on leading incident response efforts and threat hunting, the full-time SOC Analyst will work remotely to protect Protera Technologies and its customers through proactive security monitoring and mentorship of junior analysts. Key responsibilities: Lead and coordinate incident response investigations for the organization and its clients Perform detailed analysis of logs and alerts to identify true security incidents Conduct proactive threat hunting and vulnerability assessments to identify emerging risks Required qualifications: Extensive experience reviewing and analyzing log data from various network and security devices Proficient with information security tools for packet capture and communications analysis Strong familiarity with Windows and Linux operating systems, including command-line operations Solid foundation in networking fundamentals, including deep knowledge of TCP/IP Willingness to work in shift rotations or on-call schedules as needed
