Process Improvement Specialist/Manager

Job SummaryNewberry Group seeks a results-driven Process Improvement Manager to lead efforts that enhance operational efficiency, streamline workflows, and promote continuous improvement across our public-sector client. This role will support high-impact initiatives by identifying inefficiencies, facilitating cross-agency collaboration, and implementing best practices that align with the customer's mission.LocationRemoteClearance/CertificationsAbility to obtain Public Trust clearance – U.S. citizenship requiredSalary$85,000 annually with full benefitsKey ResponsibilitiesLead process improvement initiatives across programs by analyzing current-state operations, identifying gaps, and designing future-state workflows.Facilitate cross-functional collaboration with program managers, analysts, IT teams, and field staff to gather insights and co-develop practical, scalable solutions.Apply Lean, Six Sigma, and other process improvement methodologies to drive measurable improvements in efficiency, service delivery, and compliance.Develop and maintain process documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), process maps, and performance dashboards.Support change management efforts by communicating process changes, training stakeholders, and ensuring adoption of new practices.Monitor and evaluate process performance using KPIs and data analytics to ensure continuous improvement and alignment with strategic goals.Promote a culture of innovation and accountability by mentoring teams on process improvement tools and techniques.Ensure compliance with federal regulations, policies, and data governance standards throughout process redesigning efforts.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Policy, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.5+ years of experience in process improvement, operations management, or organizational development.Proven experience leading cross-functional improvement projects in large or complex organizations.Strong knowledge of process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen).Excellent facilitation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.Ability to analyze complex systems and translate findings into actionable recommendations.Experience working in or with federal agenciesor similar mission-driven environments.Preferred QualificationsLean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or higher).Experience with process modeling tools (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart, ARIS).Experience supporting digital transformation or modernization initiatives in the public sector.Who We Are…Newberry Group is a performance-driven government services and solutions firm that provides security compliance, program governance, consulting, and customized solutions for public sector clients nationwide.The strength of our company is a direct reflection of our highly skilled and talented workforce.Benefits and PerksIn addition to competitive wages, Newberry Group offers an outstanding benefit package.
