Operations Specialist

Overview The Operations Specialist is responsible for managing and maximizing equipment, utilization, inventory, and supplies for all areas of assigned patient floors. This position controls the daily operations of assigned floors and partners with the Patient Experience department to ensure exceptional experiences for team members, families, patients, and visitors. The specialist also ensures the Environment of Care for assigned nursing floors is Joint Commission ready. Responsibilities Manage and maximize equipment, utilization, inventory, and supplies for all areas. Partner with the Patient Experience department to ensure exceptional human experience. Assess barriers to care and throughput, and assist in executing plans to expedite patients to floors with patient progression. Round on patients daily to promote higher patient experience scores. Ensure patient floors are Joint Commission ready with regard to Environment of Care. Establish routine inventory and maintenance for equipment on assigned patient floors. Work with EVS, Plant Operations, and Materials Management on moves, installations, and equipment maintenance. Collaborate with the Information Technology department to retain necessary equipment (e.g., chargers, iPads). Ensure rovers, MAK carts, and other critical equipment are in working order for all floor areas. Process purchase orders. Communicate effectively in written and verbal formats. Use Microsoft Office and Google Suite platforms proficiently. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree. Minimum of three years of healthcare experience preferred. Strong critical thinking, judgment, and problem‑solving skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt quickly to changing conditions. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite. Compensation and Benefits Minimum annual pay: $69,534.40. Compensation is benchmarked against market data and considers experience, education, skills, geographic location, internal equity, and budgetary factors. It may include performance-based incentives, shift differentials, and other non‑discriminatory adjustments.
