School Psychologist in Warren, MI

Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity as a School Psychologist working full-time onsite, supporting students during the upcoming academic year. In this vital position, you will play an instrumental role in fostering student well-being and academic achievement by providing expert psychoeducational support and guidance.


Key Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid School Psychologist certification or licensure (state requirements apply)
• Experience administering and interpreting a wide range of psychoeducational assessments
• In-depth understanding of MARSE and IDEA regulations, eligibility categories, and processes
• Strong collaboration and communication skills for working with parents, staff, and multidisciplinary teams
• Knowledge of IEP development, behavior intervention, and 504 eligibility
• Crisis intervention skills, including threat and risk assessments, safety planning, and post-crisis support

Primary Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations adhering to MARSE and IDEA
• Administer, score, and interpret tests such as intelligence, achievement, adaptive behavior, and personality measures
• Determine student eligibility in various categories (SLD, OHI, EI, CI, ASD, etc.) and make recommendations for supports and accommodations
• Clearly explain evaluation results, eligibility decisions, and service recommendations to parents and school teams
• Support IEP development, classroom-based interventions, and behavior support plans
• Intervene promptly during crisis situations, including threat and suicide assessments, to ensure the safety and well-being of students
• Participate in Student Support Teams (SSTs) to address academic, behavioral, or emotional challenges
• Collaborate in program planning, data review, and decision-making processes
• Engage in ongoing professional development and training relevant to student services

This is an onsite position, with a contract running from August 25, 2026, to June 18, 2027, and a full-time schedule of 37.5 to 40 hours per week.
