Senior Manager, Corporate Development Operations

About the Role Senior Manager of Corporate Development Operations, part of Salesforce’s M&A Deal Team. This position will be responsible for leveraging AI to streamline operations, automation, and analytics and will work closely with counterparts in M&A Integration and Salesforce Ventures to identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency. The role requires intellectual curiosity, an innovative mindset, data analysis and critical thinking skills, and the ability to work with executives and stakeholders of all levels. Based in San Francisco, the position will work out of Salesforce Tower, three days a week. Primary Responsibilities Own standardized reporting, pipeline metrics, readouts. Lead analysis on the portfolio of M&A deals in a given year, pipeline, and inbounds that are not pursued for acquisition or investment. Leverage Salesforce AI products and other AI tools, including Claude, Gemini and other apps to streamline processes and create efficiency. Support market, industry and company research and analyses. Own the reporting and analysis for the Salesforce Investments portfolio, including monitoring portfolio performance, valuation, realized and unrealized gains on portfolio holdings. Serve as the primary coordinator for preparing materials on the M&A program for the Board of Directors, Salesforce’s executive leadership team, and Corporate Development leadership. Own the development of the Salesforce M&A org’s enterprise tools, including feature development, managing reporting of inbound and outbound conversations, and maintaining records. As required, support the M&A Deal team on acquisition strategy and proactive ideation or execution on deals. Professional Experience & Skills Background: 6–8 years of total experience and a strong educational pedigree. Previous experience in management consulting, data science, strategic finance, or M&A. Experience working in the M&A and the technology sector is preferred. Technical Skills: M&A experience—understanding of financial and valuation metrics; ability to identify and track business and operational key performance indicators; acumen to analyze data and be the expert to identify inconsistencies and present findings; extremely adept at integrating disparate information, correlating data, and understanding data trends into research papers or briefings with guidance; experience using AI tools for process improvement within M&A is a plus; experience with data quality assessment, implementing solutions to improve data quality; experience working with Salesforce, business visualization tools such as Tableau is a plus. Compensation The typical base salary range for this position is $150,100 – $227,000 annually. In select cities within the San Francisco and New York City metropolitan areas, the base salary range for this role is $180,200 – $247,900 annually. The range represents base salary only, and does not include company bonus, incentive for sales roles, equity or benefits, as applicable.
