MLR Healthcare (Recruiting) is currently seeking a full-time, permanent, direct-hire Respiratory Therapist to join a skilled team at a respected acute-care hospital in Texas. In this role, you will provide respiratory care services, following established protocols to deliver therapeutic interventions that support patients' respiratory health and recovery.

Salary : $55,489 - $94,572 per year

Responsibilities for Respiratory Therapist:

• Collaboration with Physicians: Partner with doctors to evaluate patient conditions and create tailored treatment plans.
• Diagnostic Testing: Conduct key tests to evaluate lung function and support treatment planning.
• Shift Requirements: Night shifts with rotating weekends, working three 12-hour shifts weekly.
• Environmental Evaluations: Assess home or workplace settings, providing guidance to promote respiratory health and patient independence.
• Data Documentation: Accurately input patient information and treatment records into healthcare systems.
• Safety Compliance: Ensure work environment meets OSHA and NIOSH safety guidelines.

Requirements:

• License: Must hold a valid Respiratory Care license in Texas.
• Certification Renewal: Maintain active NBRC certification by following the Continuing Competency Program (CCP).
• Graduate Therapists: Required to obtain CRT credentials and complete RRT certification within one year of graduating. If RRT is not achieved within that period, the individual will transition to a Respiratory Care Practitioner role until certification is completed.
• Basic Life Support (BLS): Must be certified before patient interactions.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS): Certification required within six months of starting.
• Pediatric Emergency (ENPC/PALS): Certification to be achieved within the first year of employment.
• Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP): Certification to be completed within one year of hiring.
