Quality Technician

Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Distribution Quality Technician I to join our team in St.Peters, MO. As a Distribution Quality Technician, you will establish and maintain quality levels of products throughout the value chain, ensuring compliance and driving continuous improvement in receiving, value services (kitting and labeling), rework, and shipping operations. The role reports directly to the Distribution Quality/Inventory Manager and may require periodic weekend or evening work as part of the 2nd shift. Shift & Location On‑site, 2nd shift. A safety‑sensitive role that may require additional drug screening. Core Job Responsibilities Safely operate PIV equipment (forklifts, clamp trucks, reach trucks, and order pickers) to load, unload, sort, stack, and stage product. Perform daily audits and quality checks in the Distribution Center following documented audit procedures. Report and pursue repeat quality issues with responsible teams, suggesting process or design improvements. Initiate product quarantines when serious audit findings occur and lead rework activities such as finished goods rework, re‑boxing, and scrap. Inspect raw materials, goods in process, and finished goods for proper appearance, packaging, and labeling. Use industrial machinery or hand tools to repair defects related to quality and record results for technical reporting. Participate in special projects to develop or improve quality policies, programs, or activities. Minimum Qualifications High School diploma or GED. Demonstrated sense of responsibility and accuracy in past job assignments. Dependability and strong attendance record. Ability to read and understand specifications and instructions. Proficiency with software such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, ETQ, and Oracle. Strong attention to detail and knowledge of continuous improvement principles. Essential Skills or Knowledge Self‑motivated, able to prioritize and manage projects independently. Excellent leadership and people‑management skills, able to motivate and develop a high‑performing team. Highly articulate verbal and written communication. Strong organizational skills and ability to balance multiple projects. Research and analytical skills for drawing valid conclusions and recommendations. Willingness to learn and provide continuous education for the team. Knowledge of UL, CE, and transportation regulations is a plus.
