Key Responsibilities for the Senior Plant Accountant:
Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations
Analyze financial results and deliver actionable insights on variances and performance trends
Own standard costing processes, including cost rolls and product costing inputs (BOMs, routings, rates)
Manage inventory accounting, cycle counts, and discrepancy investigations
Oversee fixed asset accounting including capitalization, depreciation, and asset tracking
Ensure compliance with SOX, internal controls, and corporate accounting policies
Qualifications for the Senior Plant Accountant:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
7+ years of manufacturing accounting experience with strong cost accounting focus
Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and financial reporting tools
Expertise in inventory accounting, variance analysis, and standard costing
