Senior Accountant

Senior Accountant – Manufacturing | $90,000 to $100,000 | West Chicago Our client, a well-established and growing manufacturing organization, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional looking to take on a broad role with exposure to month-end close, financial reporting, cost accounting, and process improvement in a collaborative manufacturing environment. Responsibilities Lead key aspects of the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process. Prepare and analyze journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements. Support inventory accounting, cost accounting, and manufacturing variance analysis. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. Partner with operations and plant leadership to improve financial performance and reporting. Support internal and external audits and ensure compliance with accounting policies and internal controls. Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiencies. Assist with special projects and ERP system enhancements as needed. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. 3–7+ years of accounting experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of GAAP and month-end close processes. Experience with inventory and cost accounting is highly preferred. Advanced Excel skills; ERP experience such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar systems is a plus. CPA or CPA track is a plus, but not required.
