About the Position

Job Title: Float Pool RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Rotating (Days/Eves/Nights) Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: 2 years of acute care hospital experience and 2 years as a Traveler License: Active RN License Certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS Must-Have: - Must be willing to float to 8 different units - Experience with telemetry monitoring, including measuring intervals and interpreting strips - Experience with cardiac drips Description: This position requires floating throughout the hospital to various Med/Surg Tele areas. Responsibilities include cardiac monitoring and administration of cardiac drips. The clinician will read telemetry strips every four hours. The clinician to patient ratio is up to 5:1 during the day and evening shifts, and up to 6:1 during night shifts. The patient population includes care for ED border patients and non-vented patients who are transfer ready. Experience with TR Band is required. The electronic medical record (EMR) system used is EPIC.
